- Fun Fact: In 2023 I climbed to the top of Kilimanjaro…..

More about me :)
- My ancestors are from Northern Asia probably Iran or Afghanistan but found themselves in India around the 1500’s in the deserts of Rajasthan and Kutch.
- In the 1800’s the British enticed (or coerced) many coastal Indian populations to migrate to the colonies in Africa and the West Indies. My ancestors moved to Africa.
- I was born in East Africa specifically in Nairobi, a city surrounded by savannah grasslands, hills, mountains and game parks. I grew up breathing the African air and freedom in the post-colonial exuberance of Kenya.
- My life was changed by the African nationalism of the 1980’s. Our Indian ancestry meant that we were not as welcome in Africa as our ancestors had been when they arrived there in the late 1800’s.
- We immigrated to Canada where I continued my education and finished the first part of university in Toronto and subsequently attended medical school in London, Ontario where I am based at present, continuing to practice Medicine while exploring my hobbies, writing, blogging, sometimes travelling and learning on the go.
- I am married with 4 kids and enjoying my pre-retirement life hoping to slow down the pace of my career.
